History Roster Game Recap: Softball | 2/13/2026 5:38:00 PM | Kris Kozoro Softball Opens Season with 2 Wins in Chicago CHICAGO, Ill. - In a thrilling season opener, the Lawrence Tech softball team secured a dramatic 2-1 walk-off victory over Olivet Nazarene University at the Rosemont Dome. The Blue Devils faced an early deficit after the Tigers capitalized in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead, but the LTU pitching tandem of Natilee Pridemore and Delaney Monroe combined to hold ONU scoreless for the remainder of the contest. Entering the bottom of the seventh still trailing, Lawrence Tech's offense came alive when Sophia Propps ignited the rally with a leadoff single. After a crucial error by the ONU defense and a walk to Lauren Miller loaded the bases, Alyssa Bloomfield delivered the heroics with a hard-hit two-run single to center field, driving in Sarah Basket and Ashley Stafford to seal the walkoff victory. In a dominant performance in the second game of the day, the Lawrence Tech softball team shut out Calumet (IN) 4-0 behind a historic outing from Sarah Basket. Basket was nearly untouchable in the circle, tossing a complete-game no-hitter with 13 strikeouts and allowing only three walks over seven innings. The Blue Devils' offense provided the necessary support starting in the fourth inning when Lauren Miller drove in a run to break the tie. The 6th inning saw Ashley Stafford single to right field, driving in Sara Essenmacher to make it a 2-0 game. Momentum continued for the Blue Devils in the 6th with Zoey Markey hitting a triple and driving in 2 runs. The Blue Devils will be back in action on the 14th to continue the Rosemont Dome Tournament in Chicago.  Print Friendly Version Players Mentioned #95 Alyssa Bloomfield OF 5' 5" Sophomore #11 Sarah Basket P/DP 5' 9" Freshman #17 Zoey Markey IF 5' 3" Freshman Midland Lady Explorers #10 Sara Essenmacher 1st/3rd/C 5' 7" Sophomore #15 Delaney Monroe P/1ST 5' 6" Sophomore #3 Lauren Miller MIF 5' 8" Freshman #18 Natilee Pridemore RHP,1B 5' 8" Freshman #9 Ashley Stafford C,UTL 5' 5" Freshman #00 Sophia Propps IF 5' 1" Freshman Players Mentioned #95 Alyssa Bloomfield 5' 5" Sophomore OF #11 Sarah Basket 5' 9" Freshman P/DP #17 Zoey Markey 5' 3" Freshman Midland Lady Explorers IF #10 Sara Essenmacher 5' 7" Sophomore 1st/3rd/C #15 Delaney Monroe 5' 6" Sophomore P/1ST #3 Lauren Miller 5' 8" Freshman MIF #18 Natilee Pridemore 5' 8" Freshman RHP,1B #9 Ashley Stafford 5' 5" Freshman C,UTL #00 Sophia Propps 5' 1" Freshman IF
