Blue Devils Geared for Exciting 2026 Football Season

| By:
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -  The 2026 Lawrence Tech football season is defined by a challenging mix of high-stakes non-conference play and a dense MSFA Mideast League schedule. The campaign begins with a notable Week 0 trip to face D1 FCS Valparaiso that serves as a major litmus test for the program. Following that road test, the Blue Devils return home on September 5th to host Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in a non-conference game.

After an early bye in Week 2, the schedule transitions into a series of crossover contests against Midwest League opponents. This stretch includes road trips to St. Francis (IL) on September 19th, Olivet Nazarene on October 3rd, and Saint Xavier on October 10th. LTU will also host Judson on September 26th for LTU's Homecoming game and then Saint Francis (IN) on October 24th. These games are critical for regional positioning before the conference race heats up.

The final month of the season focuses heavily on Mideast League play, where the Blue Devils will face a string of tough rivals. This includes a road game at Taylor on October 17th, a local battle at Madonna for the I-96 Classic on October 31st, and a trip to Defiance on November 7th. The regular season concludes at home on November 14th with a high-profile matchup against Indiana Wesleyan.

With the return of star QB Ryan Schuster, the Blue Devils will look to improve on their 2-8 2025 season record and compete in the challenging MSFA Conference led by Coach Oscar Olejniczak who is entering into his second season as Head Coach of the Blue Devils football program.
