FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - In the opening game of the doubleheader, Lawrence Tech fell to Northwestern Ohio by a score of 5-0. The Blue Devils struggled to find their rhythm against the UNOH pitcher, who threw a complete-game shutout and limited LTU to just five hits. Northwestern Ohio jumped out to an early lead with two runs in the first inning and added insurance runs in the third and fifth. Despite some offensive efforts from BRenna Crittenden, who recorded a triple, and a solid appearance by
Sarah Basket, Lawrence Tech was unable to capitalize on their baserunners and ended the game with eight players left on base.
Lawrence Tech bounced back in the second game to secure a 5-2 victory and earn a split for the day. After falling behind 1-0 in the fifth inning, the Blue Devils responded immediately in the bottom half of the frame to take the lead. The offense was powered by Natilee Pridemore, who delivered a clutch grand slam in the bottom of the 5th. On the mound and in the hitters box, Natilee Pridemore was dominant, throwing a complete game and allowing only two hits and no earned runs over seven innings while adding a grand slam to her incredible day.Â
The Blue Devils will be back in action on the 22nd, where they will face off against the Warriors of Indiana Tech in a doubleheader at The Hawk.
