FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Indiana Tech took the opening game of the doubleheader with a 10-6 victory over Lawrence Tech. The Warriors jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning behind a quick grand slam and never looked back, adding five more runs over the second and fourth innings. Lawrence Tech attempted to rally with a 4 run fourth inning, but Indiana Tech's pitcher kept the Blue Devils at bay, striking out 10 batters in a complete-game effort.
Lawrence Tech bounced back in the nightcap to earn the split, defeating Indiana Tech 6-3. The Blue Devils established an early 3-1 lead in the first inning, highlighted by a three run homer from Zoey Markey. While Indiana Tech threatened with solo home runs, the Blue Devils answered each time to maintain their cushion. Pitcher Natilee Pridemore earned the win for Lawrence Tech, throwing a complete game and limiting the Warriors to just four hits.Â
The Blue Devils will return to Farmington Hills in their next matchup against Grace Christian University on March 24th.Â
