SYLVANIA, Ohio - In the first game of the doubleheader, Lawrence Tech secured a 6-3 victory over Lourdes behind a powerful five-run fourth inning. The Blue Devils' offense was sparked by
Brenna Crittenden, who delivered a bases-loaded triple to drive in three runs during that decisive frame.
Delaney Monroe also contributed an RBI single, while
Sarah Basket earned the win in the circle, pitching a complete seven-inning game and allowing only three runs on nine hits. Despite a late home run by Lourdes in the fifth inning, LTU's defense and Basket's consistent pitching held the Lead to ensure the opening-game win.
The Blue Devils carried that momentum into the second game, dominating Lourdes with an 11-3 win to sweep the day. LTU's bats were on fire from the start, totaling 16 hits including home runs from Delaney Monroe and Zoey Markey. Monroe was a standout at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, while Natilee Pridemore not only earned the win on the mound with eight strikeouts but also drove in two runs of her own. A four-run explosion in the seventh inning put the game entirely out of reach, punctuated by Markey's two-run homer, as the Blue Devils improved their record to 19-7 on the season.
The Blue Devils will return home on April 1st to take on the Saints of Aquinas.Â
