FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Lawrence Tech opened the WHAC Tournament with a dominant 11-3 victory over Michigan-Dearborn in a game that was called after six innings due to the run rule. The Blue Devils' offense was relentless, recording 14 hits, including five doubles and a triple. The scoring onslaught was highlighted by a massive six-run sixth inning that featured a two-run home run by Delaney Monroe and RBI extra-base hits from Zoey Markey and Sarah Basket. Delaney Monroe had a standout game in the batters box, recording 3 hits with 3 RBIs and 2 runs as well as her two-run homer that ended the game in the 6th. 

In the circle, Sarah Basket earned the win, pitching all six innings and striking out two while navigating ten hits from the Michigan-Dearborn lineup. With this victory, the Blue Devils advance to the second round of the WHAC Tournament to face Indiana Tech tomorrow.
