FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Lawrence Tech erased an early three-goal deficit and briefly pulled even in the third quarter, but Indiana Tech answered with the decisive run Tuesday night and handed the Blue Devils a 14-6 loss in the 2026 season finale at Warrior Athletic Field in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After
Parker Gannon tied the match 5-5 with 12:30 left in the third quarter, Indiana Tech scored the next four goals and never let Lawrence Tech recover.
The Blue Devils finished the night 4-14 overall and 3-11 in conference play. Indiana Tech set the tone early with four first-quarter goals, including two from Reice Hafl, and carried a 5-2 lead into the second quarter. Lawrence Tech answered with a strong push before halftime. Brendan Shinavier scored twice in the second quarter, first at 12:05 and again at 6:05, trimming the margin to 5-4 by the break and giving the Blue Devils a path back into the game.
That rally continued after halftime when Parker Gannon converted a feed from Shinavier to tie it at 5-5. The equalizer was Lawrence Tech's best moment of the night, but Indiana Tech regained control on the next stretch. Cam Fewster scored at 8:33 of the third quarter to put the Warriors back in front, and Hafl added another at 5:13. Indiana Tech then took advantage of man-up chances, getting a power-play goal from Ryan Morgan at 3:06 and another man-up score from Jake Deacon at 1:48 for a 9-5 lead entering the fourth quarter.
Shinavier led Lawrence Tech offensively with three goals and one assist on 12 shots, including the Blue Devils' lone fourth-quarter goal at the 10:56 mark off an assist from Luke Gannon that cut the deficit to 9-6. Wyatt Salenbien, Luke Gannon and Parker Gannon also scored for Lawrence Tech, while Andrew Halushka, Brennan Urbas, Trevor Donohue and Luke Gannon each recorded assists. The Blue Devils finished with six goals and five assists on 31 shots, putting 15 attempts on goal.
Indiana Tech's edge at the faceoff stripe and in overall possession proved difficult to overcome. The Warriors won 21 of 24 faceoffs and finished with a 53-31 advantage in shots and a 52-24 margin in ground balls. Dylan Porter kept Lawrence Tech within striking distance for long stretches with 21 saves over 60 minutes, facing 53 shots and 35 shots on goal. Sam Park made nine saves for Indiana Tech.
Fewster finished with one goal and five assists for Indiana Tech, while Hafl and Deacon scored three goals apiece. The Warriors closed with five goals in the fourth quarter, including scores from Deacon, Maddox Schwartz, Ryan Tedesco, Torben Aagaard and Evan Haney. For Lawrence Tech, the result closed a difficult season for a young squad, one the Blue Devils will now try to build from as they carry added experience into next year.
