FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - In the first game of the doubleheader on April 8, 2026, Lawrence Tech fell to Michigan-Dearborn with a final score of 4-3 in a ten-inning battle. The Blue Devils' offense was highlighted by a three-run home run from
Delaney Monroe in the seventh inning, which brought home
Sophia Propps and
Kiersten Chong to tie the game and force extra innings.
Sophia Propps led the team with two hits, while
Alyssa Bloomfield,
Brenna Crittenden, and
Natilee Pridemore each contributed a hit to the team's total of six. On the mound,
Sarah Basket delivered a strong performance, pitching 9.1 innings and recording 10 strikeouts while allowing only two earned runs. Despite the late-inning heroics and solid pitching, Lawrence Tech ultimately came up short in the tenth.
In the second game of the day, Lawrence Tech was defeated 7-1 by Michigan-Dearborn. Their lone run came in the top of the seventh inning when Emmie Fowler reached with the bases loaded, scoring Sarah Basket.
