SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Lawrence Technological University Cheer and Dance is excited to announce our event schedule for the 2026–2027 season! From young aspiring performers to high school athletes looking to take the leap into collegiate spirit sports, we have a program tailored for every skill level and age group.
Here is everything happening on campus this season and how you can get involved!
Annual Kid's Clinic (Ages 6–12)
Step into the shoes of an LTU Cheerleader or Dancer and take the field!
Our annual Kid's Clinic invites young, aspiring athletes to campus to work alongside LTU's dedicated coaching staff and team members. Participants will be split by sport to work on technical skill progressions before learning a short, dynamic routine. Best of all? Participants will perform live with our team during our first home football game of the season! No previous cheer or dance experience is required.
Spirit Saturdays at the Stadium (Grades 7–12)
Experience a Football Game Day like never before!
Designed for dedicated middle and high school athletes, Spirit Saturdays offer an immersive look into college game day atmosphere, giving young performers agency over their future athletic journeys. Choose between two custom experiences:

Spectator ($25): Enjoy VIP access to home game day operations, including a personalized campus tour, an exclusive meet-and-greet with LTU coaches and team members, and front-row seats for all home game performances.

Performer ($50): Receive all Spectator VIP perks, plus learn official team choreography, attend a team practice, get a free t-shirt, and take the field in uniform as an official Blue Devil Cheerleader or Dancer!

Scholarship Note: Athletes with a Spirit Saturday Certificate from our coaches automatically receive a $30 PERFORM Scholarship applied at registration! (Practice dates will be confirmed by Sept. 1; one team practice is required to perform in uniform).
Swish + Spirit Saturdays (Grades 7–12)
Bring the noise to the hardwood court!
Take the Spirit Saturday experience inside for basketball season! Tailored for grades 7–12, athletes can participate as a Participant ($25) for full VIP access or as a Trainee ($50) to learn team choreography, train at a team practice, and perform on the court in uniform during home basketball games.

When: Dates and practice times are to be determined alongside the home basketball schedule. Trainees will be notified of practice dates no later than Oct. 1.

Scholarship Note: Certificate recipients automatically receive a $40 Trainee Scholarship at registration.

Tryout Prep Clinics (Grades 9–12)
Prepare for your collegiate cheer & dance journey.
Aiming for a spot on the LTU roster? Led by our coaching staff and team captains, these clinics prepare high school athletes for open tryouts in June. We cover team choreography styles, stunt work and progressions, and essential technical skills expected of LTU athletes.
Blue Devil Spirit Clinic + Showcase (Ages 12+)
Train, connect, and perform at our annual showcase!
Split by sport, this two-day event gives athletes ages 12 and up the chance to forge direct connections with collegiate coaches, take a tour of LTU's campus, and sharpen their technique. Participants will learn a short routine to perform at our Annual Blue Devil Spirit Showcase—a community-centered fundraising event highlighting our team alongside local high school and collegiate spirit programs.
