MIDLAND, Mich. - The men's cross country team fought through a competitive 4-mile course to claim a solid 6th-place overall team finish, anchored by a top-five performance from
Graeson Lawrence, who led the squad in 20:22.70.
Hayden Lafferty crossed next with a personal-best 21:34.60 to lead the secondary pack, while
Christopher Locke (23:12.20), Zachary Brown (23:20.90),
Noah Blandino (23:29.10), and
Marek Unger (23:34.70) executed a tight, methodical group effort to hold their spot in the team standings.
Matching the men, the women's team also claimed a 6th-place finish at the Northwood Invitational. Leading the way for the Blue Devils was Jamie Carr (20:50.80), who finished 28th on the individual leaderboard. Right behind her was Olivia Cereska (21:05.10), taking 31st overall in her Blue Devil debut, while Madison Armstrong (21:20.10), Caleigh Bovensiep (23:45.10), and Adison Cooke (24:02.60) rounded out the team's scoring performance.
Both Blue Devils cross country teams will be back in action on September 18th for the Lansing Stars Invitational.
