Box Score SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - Lawrence Tech battled to a physical 2-2 draw against Indiana University East. Despite out shooting the Red Wolves 19-6, the Blue Devils had to settle for a tie in a fiery contest that featured 11 yellow cards and a late ejection.
Lawrence Tech opened the scoring early in the6th minute when Alexader Prenkocevic struck a clean shot past the keeper, set up by a precise assist from
Felix Galvez. The Blue Devils dominated the pace of the first half, but IU East capitalized on a rare breakdown in the 20th minute they leveled the match at 1-1 before the break.
The tension escalated in the second half when IU East drew a penalty in the 7th minute, which was converted to give the Red Wolves a 2-1 advantage. Pushing hard for an equalizer, the Blue Devils finally broke through when
Andrew Cook buried a clutch goal off a feed from
Finlay MacKintosh.
The final minutes devolved into a chaotic physical battle. Blue Devils defender
Khaled Jamoukha picked up a red card, forcing Lawrence Tech to defend a man down until the final whistle.
