Enrolled at LTU in the fall of 2023 as a finance major. He participated in all practices and team activities through his first year at LTU. 
2023
Did not play in any games as a true freshman, but he was a vital part of the scout team, helping the Blue Devils get ready for competition week by week. 
High School
Samuel played only two games in his senior year of high school, accumulating 24 total tackles, 4.5 for loss, and 2 sacks. Earned his spot on the 2020-2022 all-conference team. He was voted the most improved player in the 2020 season and played two other high school sports, rugby and track.
Personal
Son of Michelle Trabel and Thomas Weir, brother to Lucille (Ashton) Weir. Samuel is a second-generation athlete; his mom was a D1 track athlete at Indiana State University. He was born on July 2, 2004.
