Terrance Wilson was named defensive coordinator at Lawrence Tech on March 12th, 2020.
In Wilson's first full season in 2021, his pass defense ranked 16th in the country, while his rush defense ranked 14th in the NAIA. The defense was also ranked 11th in total yards per game allowed in the country, which helped lead the Blue Devils to a 7-4 record.
Wilson brings a wealth of knowledge and professional experience from his stints as a former head coach and general manager for the Detroit Cougars, a Rival Professional Football League franchise, where he won two league championships. He also served as the offensive coordinator for the Georgia Wildcats in the National Gridiron League, a professional Arena League franchise.
Additional collegiate coaching experience prior to joining the Blue Devils staff includes his stint at Concordia University (Ann Arbor) as a defensive coordinator and defensive back coach in 2012.Â
Wilson has helped steer 10 players to NFL or CFL contracts and a plethora of players to Arena League contracts. His experience as a general manager and in player personnel departments will serve as a key addition on the recruiting trail for the Blue Devils. He will serve as a key recruiter in Macomb County along with the storied PSL conference.
