After a stellar two-year career for the Blue Devils, Ty Searles joined the coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2020-2021 season.

He helps Coach Pickens with all aspects of the program including recruiting, practice planning and skill development.

Searles earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors as a senior in 2018-19 as he averaged 24.6 ppg to lead the WHAC in scoring. The First Team All-WHAC selection helped guide Lawrence Tech to their first-ever WHAC Tournament appearance.

The 2017-18 campaign saw the Pontiac native register 17.2 ppg, good for third in the league, on his way to a Second Team All-WHAC selection. Searles joined the Blue Devils 1,000-point club in just two seasons after transferring from Owens Community College.
