SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech volleyball team hosts the University of Michigan - Dearborn on Sept. 17 at 7pm in the Don Ridler Field House. This will mark the seventh matchup between the two teams with the Wolverines leading the series, 2-4. Lawrence Tech went 1-1 against Michigan - Dearborn last season as each team won their home contest.
Lawrence Tech (5-7, 1-3 WHAC) dropped its third straight Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) game on Sept. 13 against Davenport. Kasey Clark (SR/Sacramento, CA) and Mary Armstrong (JR/Lakeland, MI) finished with ten and eight kills each, while Josie Queary (SO/Midland, MI) added 13 assists. Queary and Clark both had seven digs in the game.
Clark leads the team in total kills with 194 (4.5/game) while Queary is tops in service aces (18) and assists (389). Armstrong has a team-high 38 blocks.
In the NAIA, the Blue Devils rank 44th in service aces per game (1.81) and 48th in blocks per game (194). Clark ranks sixth in kills per game (4.51) and 13th in total kills (194). Queary ranks 45th in assists per game with 9.05.
For the WHAC, Clark leads the conference in kills per set and is third in total kills. Queary ranks third in service aces and fifth in assists. Armstrong ranks 15th in total kills with 101.
Michigan - Dearborn (0-12, 0-4 WHAC) have struggled this season losing all 12 matches and winning only four sets.
Kelly Merkle leads the Wolverines in service aces with nine and also has 114 assists. Ashley Parks has a team-high 26 blocks and Rebecca Carley leads Michigan - Dearborn in assists with 151.
