FULTON, Mo. - The Lawrence Technological University (LTU) women's volleyball team dropped three matches at the William Woods University (Mo.) in Fulton, Mo., this weekend. The Blue Devils fell 3-0 to host William Woods on Friday night and Saturday morning. On Saturday afternoon LTU dropped a 3-0 match to No. 13-ranked Evangel University (Mo.).

LTU was led by Mary Armstrong (SR/Commerce Twp, MI) in kills (10), Josie Queary (JR/Midland, MI) in assists (22), and Brittany Schmidt (SO/Richmond, MI) in digs (7). The Owls led match in kills with 34 compared to 27 by the Blue Devils. LTU committed 19 errors, while William Woods finished the match with 12.
Lawrence Tech recorded five blocks and two service aces in the match.

Lawrence Tech finished the match with 37 kills with just 13 errors. The Blue Devils finished the match with a .250 hitting percentage behind 14 kills from Armstrong. Briana Reum (SO/South Elgin, IL) recorded seven kills, while Jessica Frakes (SR/Clarkston, Mich.) added six. Queary finished the game with a team high 28 assists. Lexi Szymoniak (FR/Onaway, Mich.) tallied 11 digs and four kills.

The Blue Devils finished the match with 20 kills and 90 total attacks, compared to 43 kills and 76 total attacks by Evangel. Armstrong finished the match with nine attacks, while Queary recorded 16 assists.
Lawrence Tech is back on the court Wednesday, October 28 at 7 p.m. when they travel to Fort Wayne, Ind., to face Indiana Tech.
