FORT WAYNE, Ind. - In a pivotal league volleyball face-off, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils were unable to secure a win against Indiana Tech on November 8, 2025, at the Schaefer Center in Fort Wayne, Ind. The match concluded with the Blue Devils being defeated by Indiana Tech 3-0 in a contest where each set showcased intense competition.
The first set was a nail-biting affair with Lawrence Tech pushing their limits but falling short at 25-27. The second set saw the Blue Devils putting up a resilient fight but eventually losing 22-25. The final set continued to see spirited plays from the Blue Devils, but they succumbed 19-25, sealing a win for Indiana Tech.
Maria Trevino Nunez led the Blue Devils offensively with 15 kills, followed by
Sydney Eggleton with 7 and
Nya Matley contributing 5. On the defensive end,
Kyndal James was a standout with 4 blocks, closely supported by
Dru Temple and
Nicole Hughes who both had 3 blocks.
Dru Temple also excelled in other aspects, leading the team with 29 assists and topping the charts with 15 digs. She also recorded 2 aces, following
Charley Klint who had 3.
Sydney Eggleton also chipped in with one ace and 9 digs.
Looking ahead, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils women's volleyball team now turns its attention to the WHAC Conference Tournament, the details of which remain to be finalized. After their recent performance, the team stands with a season record of 18 wins and 11 losses, and 11-10 in the league to wrap up the 2025 regular season.
