Weekly Preview: Blue Devils Kick Off 2019 Season at UC/Union Classic

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- This weekend, the Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University softball team will kick off its 2019 season at the UC/Union Classic in Williamsburg, Ky.

On Friday, March 1, the Blue Devils will face off with Union (Ky.) College at noon and the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at 2:30 p.m. On Saturday, March 2, Lawrence Tech will play against West Virginia Institute of Technology at 11 a.m. and the University of the Cumberlands at 4 p.m.

Last season, the Blue Devils had a 22-18 overall record and 11-10 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. In addition, LTU made it for the first time in program's history to the WHAC Championship Game, in which they fell 3-2 to the University of Northwestern Ohio.
