Blue Devils Softball Honored by the WHAC with Conference Awards

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - With WHAC Softball awards being announced, the Blue Devils softball team was honored with conference awards.

Lily Morrissette earned WHAC First Team All-Conference honors after her incredible senior season. Lily batted an impressive .443 average, with 47 hits on 106 at bats. Lily was an extra base threat every time she swung the bat with 27 extra base hits that included 5 homers. She also batted in 25 runs and was a proven clutch hitter.

Gloriana Su'a earned WHAC Second Team All-Conference due to her impressive batting skills. Gloriana batted a .381 average, but she was mostly known for scoring her team runs with an amazing 45 RBIs on the season. Gloriana showcased her power with 5 home runs and 10 doubles. 

Alyssa Bloomfield also earned Second Team All-Conference, batting .378 at 90 at bats. Alyssa missed some time during the season but was a threat at the plate each and every at bat. Alyssa had an incredible eye at the plate, drawing 11 walks on the season. 

Gloriana Su'a was also voted as LTUs Champion of Character due to her representation of the NAIAs five core values: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. Gloriana is the embodiment of LTU Softball and was the perfect representative of the program. 

Lastly, 10 Blue Devils earned All-Academic honors due to their abilities in the classroom as well as on the field. The 10 players that earned this award are: Sarah Basket, Alyssa Bloomfield, Ashlyn Bloomfield, Ainsley Colman, Lauren Fife, Morgan James, Zoey Markey, Larissa Mercado, Lily Morrissette, and Gloriana Su'a.
