SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -The Lawrence Tech men's volleyball team returned to the Don Ridler Field House on Saturday, February 8, 2020 for the first time since Saturday, January 25, 2020 to take on the Eagles of Robert Morris (IL.) University. The Blue Devils took care of business Saturday afternoon winning in four sets over the Eagles.

The Blue Devils started off fast against the Eagles taking the first set 25-13. In set one the Blue Devils had a total of nine kills and three errors hitting .375 for the set compared to the Eagles hitting a negative .036. Heading into set two the Blue Devils would take a commanding two set lead after going 25-16. The Blue Devils best set on the afternoon came in the second set with the Blue Devils hitting .400 grabbing seven kills in set two. Set three was a different series for the Blue Devils who found themselves giving up the third set 17-25. The Blue Devils would hit a dismal .000. The fourth set was a back and forth battle between the two teams with the Blue Devils finding a way to put it together win the final set of the afternoon 25-21.

Overall the senior Joshua Eckert lead the Blue Devils this afternoon with 17.5 pts on the day with 13 kills and five errors. Fellow senior Jacob Paige had 27 aces on the day for the Blue Devils serving alongside eight digs.

Looking ahead the Blue Devils get ready for the Comets of Olivet College who come to town in a non-conference battle on Monday, February 10, 2020. First serve is set for 7 pm inside the Don Ridler Field House. The Blue Devils hit the road for a WHAC matchup against Aquinas on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 first serve is set for 7 pm in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
