CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. - In a closely contested encounter during the game one of pool play at the NAIA Men's Volleyball National Tournament, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils were edged out 3-2 by Georgetown College on April 29, 2025, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Though the defeat was a setback, the Blue Devils demonstrated resilience and competitive spirit throughout the match.
The match opened with Georgetown taking control early, winning the first set 25-18. Lawrence Tech bounced back strongly in the second set, securing a 25-23 victory and leveling the scores. However, Georgetown maintained pressure, claiming the third set 25-21. Not willing to back down without a fight, the Blue Devils took the fourth set in a thrilling 27-25 finish, pushing the match to a decisive fifth set.
