SOUTHFIELD, Mich. - In a stunning display of skill and teamwork, the Lawrence Tech University Blue Devils captured the WHAC Conference Championship with a decisive 3-0 victory over the Lourdes University Gray Wolves on April 19, 2025, at the Don Ridler Fieldhouse in Southfield, MI. This win solidifies their eminent standing in the season, enhancing their impressive record to 26-2 overall and 16-0 in conference play.
From the onset, the Blue Devils set the tempo with a closely contested first set, securing it 25-22. They continued to dominate in the subsequent sets with scores of 25-18 and 25-19, showcasing the depth of their roster and strategic execution. Notably,
Brendon Down led the team with a fantastic performance, delivering 15 kills. He was well-supported by
Akram Askoul and
Mario Cid, who contributed 9 and 7 kills respectively, demonstrating the team's balanced offensive power.
The team's defensive prowess was equally on display, with
JT McCarthy leading with 3 massive blocks, and
