Davis takes First Place as Blue Devils sweep Fall Invitational

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.-  It seemed to be the Blue Devils day on the links Thursday, September 17th, as the Lawrence Tech Women's Golf program dominated overall to take home first place for the second week in a row. The Blue Devils as a team shot 339 overall, beating out Cleary by 18 strokes on the afternoon. It marks the second week in a row for the Blue Devils to take first place taking first place the week prior at the Lourdes Invitational.

Overall the Blue Devils had eight players finish in the top-20 on the day. Meanwhile, the Grosse Ile native and Senior Sara Davis took first place for the first time in her career. Davis shot an 81 on the day, just going +10 over par. Fellow Blue Devils Rachel Krisitan and Manasa Potluri shot an 84, tying for 3rd place. Lauren Harline would shoot 90, taking 9th place, Nicole Waldenmeyer would shoot 92, taking 10th place, and Julia Lefere would shoot 93, taking 11th place. Meanwhile, Blue Devils Maddy Worrilow shot 103 for 17th place, and Morgan Osborne shot 105 for 18th place.

It marks the second win in a row for the Women's Golf program the past two weeks. It also gives them the confidence heading into the Grace College Invite at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Grand Rapids, Michigan, slated for September 22nd.
