Womens Golf Takes Home 1st Place in LTU Invitational

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech  Women's Golf team showcased an impressive performance in their first place finish today, with consistent scoring leading to an excellent performance at the LTU Invitational. The Blue Devils' top three players all finished with competitive scores in the 70s, setting a great tone for the season.

The top performance was delivered by Alix Schickele, who finished with a team-low score of 77 (+6). Schickele had an outstanding start, carding a 1-under 34 on the front nine. Not far behind was a two-way tie for the second-best score, with both Tanawan Vetchayanvivat and Cadance Beuckelare finishing with a 78 (+7). Vetchayanvivat posted balanced nines of 39 and 39, while Beuckelare maintained consistency with nines of 37 and 41. Wariya Turongkinanon followed with an 84 (+13), and Claire Hollingsworth rounded out the team's scores with an 85 (+14). The overall solid grouping of scores, especially the strong play from Schickele and the two tied for second, demonstrated the team's potential for the year.
