STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich.- A week ago, the men's bowling team found themselves 61 pins back from the lead to take home first place at WHAC Jamboree 1. That was far from the case this week back inside Five Star Lanes Bowling Alley, home to the Lawrence Tech bowling programs. The men's bowling program would take home a dominant win at WHAC Jamboree 2 Saturday, January 30th, bowling 5569. The closest team to Lawrence Tech was Concordia, back 436 pins.
Michael Weber was the top bowler for the Blue Devils alongside the WHAC, bowling 775 on the afternoon; Weber bowled a 280 in game 1, a 246 in game 2, and 249 in game 3. Fellow Blue Devil Noah Samuels took home 2nd overall bowling a 739 and was just off from his teammate by 36. Taran Hersma bowled a 722, finishing 4th overall, while Cody Johnson bowled a 650, finishing 10th. Jervon Webster bowled a 420, finishing 41st, and Mitchell Rusinek bowled a 195 to finish 67th. Blue Devils Jacob Wilson and Jacob Kujawa didn't record a score in today's action for the men's bowling team.
Looking ahead, the Blue Devils head to Lansing, Michigan, for WHAC Jamboree 3 hosted by Cleary University, first bowl's slated for 9 am.
