Almost Perfect Weekend for Blue Devils at AHBA 1 & 2

CANTON, Mich. — The Lawrence Tech University men's bowling team continued its dominant start to the 2025–26 season with a stellar doubleheader performance at the AHBA 1 and AHBA 2 tournaments, held October 25–26 at Super Bowl Lanes.
The Blue Devils finished 2nd out of 20 teams at AHBA 1, then bounced back to win AHBA 2 outright. Senior Benjamin Augustitus (St. Clair Shores, Mich.) was in top form all weekend, finishing 2nd individually on both days out of over 100 Players, including a near-perfect 299 game at AHBA 2 and back-to-back series above 690

AHBA 1 – 2nd Place (6,259 pins)

LTU opened the weekend with a strong showing, taking 2nd place out of 20 varsity teams. Augustitus led the charge with a 1,322 six-game series, averaging 220.3 to finish 2nd overall. He was joined at the top by junior Ayden Davis (Reading, Pa.), who rolled a 1,312 series and finished 3rd in the field with a 218.7 average.
In the JV division, LTU dominated the competition, claiming 1st place with 5,903 pins, nearly 250 pins ahead of the next team.

AHBA 2 – 1st Place (6,467 pins)

The Blue Devils went one better on Sunday, taking 1st place overall behind another elite showing from Benjamin Augustitus, who bowled 695 over three games (197–299–199) for a 231.7 average. Sophomore K.C. Campbell (Newark, N.J.) added firepower with a 668 series (209–233–226), finishing 6th individually. Davis continued his consistency with a 641 series landing just outside the top 10.
The JV squad narrowly missed another win, finishing 2nd out of 15 teams with 5,715 pins, just six pins behind Rochester University.

Next up: Head Coach Jon Putti's team now heads into November with serious momentum. The Blue Devils return to WHAC play on Saturday, Nov. 1 at WHAC #2, hosted by Rochester Christian University at Imperial Lanes.
