Grand Rapids, MI - The Lawrence Technological University men's cross country team competed at the Men's 8K-Maroon NAIA Great Lakes Invitational Saturday morning. LTU finished in 27th place out of 27 teams with a team total score of 664.
Conner Uppleger once again was the top runner for the Blue Devils. Uppleger earned himself a top 40 finish, crossing the finish line with a time of 25:27. Just over a minute later in the race, Nolan McGahan completed the 8K race with a time of 26:35 coming in 128th place. Hunter Assenmacher was the next Blue Devil to top off the race earning himself a time of 27:17.
A couple of other big names for LTU in this event were Gavin Weber who finished with a time of 28:16, Evan Wheeler ended with a time of 29:14, Nathan Alton and Noah Rodriquez finished back to back just two seconds behind each other with times of 29:27 and 29:29.
There was a total of 239 runners in the 8K race.
The men's next cross country match is Saturday, November 6th when the team will travel back to Grand Rapids, Michigan to race in the WHAC Championships. This event will begin at 8 AM.
