Blue Devils Wrap up the Season at WHAC Championship

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Blue Devils mens and womens cross country teams both finished their seasons in the WHAC Championship. The mens finished in 5th of 10 schools, while the women finished in 6th of 9 schools. 

The womens XC squad secured a competitive 6th-place finish with 156 points in the women's cross country event. The Blue Devils executed a strong pack strategy, evidenced by their 1-5 split of just 1:57.40, with top runner Jamie Carr leading the team in 24th place overall (23:46.90), closely followed by Madison Armstrong in 26th (23:56.80), and Clara Mackey in 30th (24:27.30), demonstrating the team's cohesion and ability to compete effectively in the middle of the field.

The men achieved a solid 5th-place finish in the men's cross country event, accumulating 143 points. The Blue Devils' performance positioned them firmly in the top half of the 10 competing teams. Silas Smith led the charge for LTU, finishing 20th overall with a time of 26:01.90. He was quickly followed by Aiden Brzezinski (26th, 26:17.00), Graeson Lawrence (29th, 27:14.20), Alex Eplin (30th, 27:24.50), and Arline Lile (38th, 28:06.90). The team's 1-5 split was 2:05.00, indicating a strong, organized effort that was key to their overall placement.

The Blue Devils cross country teams will look to build on this impressive season and come back stronger next year. The NAIA Championship begins on the 20th, giving the Blue Devils a chance to showcase their skills on a national stage if given the invite to participate.
