Notre Dame, IN - The Lawrence Technological University men's and women's golf teams competed at the Saints Classic on Monday, August 30th and Tuesday, August 31st.
The men finished fifth in an 11-team field, carding a 305 on day one and a 311 on day two for a team total of 616 (+48), 29 shots back from the winner.
Thomas Delmas had the best finish (T-7) for the Blue Devils as the freshman finished with a +7 for the tournament.
Bruno Vicente had a tough first round as he shot a 7-over 78 but rebounded nicely to card a 73 (+2) today to finish +9 (T13).
The women finished fifth in a seven-team field after getting off to a rough start on Monday (359) before recovering today as they shot 19 shots better with a 340.
Rachel Kristian ended up T16 in the 40-player field with a +27 for the tournament. The senior got off to a slow start on Monday as well, carding a 90 before shaving 11 strokes off her score today, posting a 79.
The Lawrence Tech golf teams are back on the links next Tuesday, September 8th when they host the two-day LTU Invite at The Fortress in Frankenmuth, Michigan.
