West Palm Beach, FL - The Lawrence Technological University men's lacrosse team competed against #1 Reinhardt University on Wednesday afternoon. After the Eagles jumped out to an early lead in the first period, the Blue Devils struggled to crawl back as they dropped this game by a final score of 24-7.
Reinhardt took the lead early in the first 6-0.
LTU was able to score two quick goals by
Eli Lozinski and
Damian Hudson to end the first period down 6-2.
With 11:36 left in the second period,Â
Tehaluntasele Cornelius made it 7-3. Assisted by
Nathan Ford.
Three unanswered goals within a six minute span by Reinhardt extended their lead to seven.
Closing out the second was
Grady Holmes after he snuck one past the goalie.
The Eagles outscored the Blue Devils 8-1 in the third period as the margin was now 18-5 after three.
Midway through the fourth quarter, back-to-back goals by
Maveric Muscat and Cornelius made it 23-7.
The two late goals by LTU was not enough as they fell short in this game by a final score of 24-7.
