Midway, Ky. – The Lawrence Technological University men's volleyball won the first set versus Cumberland (Tenn.) before dropping the next three to lose their first match of the day (25-20, 30-32, 15-25, 17-25) on Thursday afternoon.
In their second match of the day against host Midway University, the Blue Devils dropped the first two sets before battling all the way back to force a fifth set, ultimately falling 18-20 to lose the match 24-26, 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 18-20.
First Set:
- JT McCarthy kill puts LTU up 10-5 early
- The Phoenix rip off five straight to tie set
- Three straight Cumberland errors gives LTU 21-17 lead
