Women's Bowling Takes Second at Intercollegiate Qualifiers

Addison, IL - The #5 Lawrence Technological University women's bowling team competed in the Intercollegiate Team Championships Sectional Qualifiers over the weekend. After a phenomenal regular season the women continued their success in the postseason as they finished in second overall place out of 18 teams with a final team score of 12826.

Finishing in second overall place individually on the weekend was Victoria Giardina with an final score of 1308. Giardina bowled scores of 219, 167, 280, 172, 212, and 258.
Teammate Daniella DeCruydt finishing fifth overall place after recording scores of 210, 232, 194, 198, 200, and 235. DeCruydt's overall score was 1269.
Rounding out a 12th place finish on the weekend was Sydney Clark. Clark bowled scores of 201, 245, 203, 211, 174, and 191 for a total score of 1225.
Bailey Gipson finished inside the top-25 after an overall score of 1184. Clark's bowls were 175, 195, 173, 243, 187, and 211.
With an overall score of 1068 was Laurin Prebelich in 100th place. Prebelich finished with scores of 203, 171, 179, 180, 135, and 200.

Other Blue Devils overall scores were 1057 from Allison Clark and Caroline Holowenko ended with 1037.

There was a total of 225 women bowlers.

The next #5 Blue Devils bowling event will be held on March 24-26th when they compete at the NAIA Invitational Team Championships. This event will be at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
