Goshen, IN. – The Lawrence Technological University men's volleyball team struggled in their second match in two days against the (RV) Goshen College Maple Leafs, falling in straight sets (17-25, 15-25, 16-25) on Wednesday evening.
First Set:
- GC gets out to 15-10 advantage
- Jeffry Fuhrmann kill keeps deficit at five, 19-14
- That's as close as LTU got before dropping set 25-17
Second Set:
- 6-0 run for Maple Leafs to begin set and force LTU timeout
- GC pushes margin to double digits at 15-5
- Zach Narkiewicz trims margin to eight, 20-12, but Maple Leafs roll to 25-15 set win
Third Set:
- Pair of GC errors ties set at 7-7 early on
- Maple Leafs open up breathing room with 9-0 spurt, 16-7
- Three GC errors followed by a Fuhrmann kill cuts deficit to six, 22-16
- Maple Leafs end match with a pair of kills to win third 25-16
