Fort Wayne, IN - The #5 Lawrence Technological University women's bowling team competed in the WHAC Championships on Saturday and took home a first-place finish for the first time in program history since the 2015-16 season with an overall score of 3807 in the baker scores. The WHAC Championships is in a baker format so there are no individual stats.
The team bowled five bakers games resulting in scores of 750, 780, 795, 771, 711. LTU was 34 pins behind the leader Lourdes University.
The women headed into the bracket round as the #2 seed. In the semifinals, the Blue Devils competed against the #3 seeded Madonna University.
It took four games to beat the Crusaders after the women bowled scores of 144, 195, 199, and 185 to advance to the championship round.
In the final round, the Blue Devils took down the Gray Wolves of Lourdes to win their first WHAC Tournament Championship since the 2015-16 season.

The Blue Devils finished their season inside the Top-5 in the United States Bowling Congress rankings and took home the trophy after their first-place finish in the WHAC Championships.
