Fort Wayne, Ind. - The #10 Lawrence Technological University men's lacrosse team competed against #2 Indiana Tech on Saturday evening. After the Warriors jumped out to an early lead in the first period, the Blue Devils struggled to crawl back and they dropped this game by a score of 17-7.
Indiana Tech took the lead early in the first, scoring the first three goals before
Ryan Pastorino put the Blue Devils on the board.
LTU was able to cut the deficit to 4-2 late in the first, but that's as close as they would get.
After four straight IT goals,
Tehaluntasele Cornelius took a
Maveric Muscat pass and put it in the net, making the score 8-3.
Following a goal by IT's Andrew Ryan, Cornelius would set up
Eli Lozinski with the man advantage to keep the Blue Devils within five.
The Warriors outscored the Blue Devils 5-0 in the third period to increase the margin to 14-4 after three.
After Lozinski put one past the keeper to start the fourth, three straight goals by Indiana Tech put the game on ice at 17-5.
The two late goals by Cornelius, assisted by Muscat and
Wyatt Nedbal, were not enough for the Blue Devils as the comeback attempt was too little, too late, dropping this one 17-7
