Adrian, Mich. - The Lawrence Technological Blue Devils baseball team traveled to Adrian to host the WHAC Quarterfinal Pod A, with Cornerstone and Madonna. The Blue Devils were defeated by Cornerstone in first game, before taking down Madonna in the second game.

How It Happened: Game 1 vs Cornerstone, 5-1 loss

• Nick Olsen's single to center in the first was the only Blue Devil hit, extending his streak to 23 games
• Jeremy Flattery was cruising through three innings before giving up three runs on three hits and a walk in the fourth. CU 3, LTU 0
• The Blue Devils pushed across a run in the fourth on the strength of an Olsen walk, Jake Llaneza getting hit by a pitch and ground balls to advance them. Trent Reed earned the RBI. CU 3, LTU 1.
• The Golden Eagles would add two insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth to take a 5-1 lead
• The Blue Devils would go quietly in the ninth

How It Happened: Game 2 vs Madonna, 16-6 win

• Jackson Walkowiak's single to right plated Luke Morrissette and Kellen Banaszewski, giving the Blue Devils a 2-0 lead after one inning
• Morrissette brought in Nick Allen on a fielder's choice to third in the second
• Banaszewski completed a beautiful suicide squeeze, scoring Trent Matthews 4-0 LTU after two
• A Sam DeKuiper three run homer to left in the third gave the Blue Devils a 7-0 lead
• Madonna threatened in the fifth, putting a 5-spot on the board. LTU 7, MU 5.
• Lawrence Tech stormed back with five of their own, started by a Morrissette bases-clearing double
• Following a single, error, wild pitch combination, Olsen's grounder to first brought in Banaszewski. LTU 12, MU 5
• Anthony Sharkas RBI single cut the Madonna deficit to six
• Walkowiak brought in Banaszewski with an RBI groundout in the seventh. LTU 13, MU 6
