Darbey Johnson Leads the Way, WXC Finishes in First Place

Bethany W.V. - The Lawrence Technological University women's cross country team competed at the Bethany Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The women finished in first overall place as Darbey Johnson led the way for the Blue Devils.

The team ended with a total time of 2:08.07 for an average pace of 25:37

Johnson ended with a time of 24:36 (avg. pace 6:35) to come in fourth overall place.

Hanna Assenmacher was right behind her at the finish line to end in fifth place with a time of 24:42 (avg. pace 6:37).

In seventh place was Jacqueline Albo with a time of 25:10.

Rounding out the top 20 was Erin McCardell ending her race with a time of 26:11.

Molly Kline finished with a 27:24, and Kaitlin Pickart with a time of 28:38.

The next Blue Devils race is on Saturday, September 17th at the Knight-Rider Invitational in Grand Rapids, MI.
