Blue Devils Finish in the Middle of the Pack at Great Lakes Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech Blue Devils women's cross country team achieved a solid 12th place finish out of 23 scoring teams at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge XC Invitational on October 25, 2025. The team compiled a total of 284 points, with their top five runners completing the 5K course in a collective time of 1:42:25.80. The Blue Devils demonstrated good pack running, with their top two runners finishing in the top 25 overall and their entire scoring five finishing within a two-minute span.

The team's effort was spearheaded by a strong duo: freshman Clara Mackey and junior Maddie Armstrong. Mackey led the Blue Devils by placing 21st overall with a time of 19:40.70 (21st scoring), immediately followed by Armstrong in 24th overall (24th scoring) with a time of 19:43.90. Freshman Jamie Carr was the next scorer for LTU, taking the 52nd scoring spot with a time of 20:11.80.

Rounding out the scoring five were a pair of freshmen, Eden Brewer and Emily Sell. Brewer finished 90th in the scoring with a time of 21:19.90, and Sell was close behind in 97th place with a time of 21:29.70. Other Blue Devils who ran well included Caleigh Bovensiep (22:23.40) and Addison Cooke (22:25.20).
