SOUTHFIELD, Mich.- The Lawrence Technological University Blue Devils women's soccer team took on a Taylor Trojans team that is receiving votes at Blue Devil Stadium. The matchup ended with the Trojans taking a 2-0 victory.
Taylor scored their first goal in the waning minutes of the first half, when Sydney Thompson scored on a header off a corner from Claire Massey in the 43rd minute.
In the 63rd minute, Lauren Collins set up Emma Goebel for the second Taylor goal of the evening.
It was an offensive attack by Taylor, who outshot LTU 19-11 (11-5 on goal).
Sydney Schnurstein had her hands full, recording 9 saves before Gabi Nelson played the last 15 minutes in net.
The Lawrence Tech women's soccer team (1-3-1) looks to avenge this loss on Saturday, September 24th to start conference play against Indiana Tech at 3:30 pm.
