MUSKEGON, Mich. -- The Lawrence Technological University men's cross country team traveled to compete in the Jayhawk invitational hosted by Muskegon Community College. The men finished last of 11 teams, with 270 points.

Luke Droz was the top performer for the Blue Devils, placing 20th of 155 in the 8k. He ran a 26:15, which is 10 seconds short of his personal best.

Jack Kelly: 77th, 28:03
Ben Dawson: 108th, 29:10
Jack Gray: 122nd, 30:04
Noah Blandino: 126th, 30:18
Ayden Walaskay 135th, 31:00
David Yoskovich and Nathan Alton 145/146, 32:39

Coach Green on the performance: "With the conditions being not great, I decided to sit out most of our top 7 to help prepare them for the all-important meet next week at the Great Lakes Invite challenge, which will have 15 of the top 30 teams in the NAIA. Luke, Jack [Kelly] and Ben were the only ones in that group
who competed. We did not run our top guys who are just coming back from injury to give them
another week of training."

The men will be back next Saturday to compete in the Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Aquinas
College at Riverside park, home of this year's WHAC conference meet.
