ADRIAN, Mich.--The ACHA Division 3 Lawrence Tech men's hockey squad Sunday defeated Adrian, 5-2, at Arrington Arena to secure a weekend sweep of the Bulldogs in Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference action. The Blue Devils blanked the Bulldogs at home, 5-0, in Saturday night's contest at Farmington Hills Ice Arena.

With the wins, the Blue Devils improve to 5-3-1 on the season, including 3-0-1 in the MCHC. The Bulldogs slip to 0-9 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
Saturday's 11 p.m. opening face-off didn't faze the host Blue Devils who jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 1 minute and 49 seconds into the period on
Benjamin De Haas' fourth goal of the season.
Sawyer Walker made it 2-0 at the 6:25 mark.
Lawrence Tech, which outshot Adrian 59 to 11, scored one goal in the second period and two more in the third period. Thomas Walsh led the way with a pair of goals and Alexander Grove chipped in two assists.
Griffin Foster made 11 saves to earn his first career shutout.
On Sunday, LTU jumped to a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes, outshooting the Bulldogs 14-3. After
Nicklas Oda scored for a 1-0 lead, LTU took control with two goals 80 seconds apart late in the period. Evan Bliss scored with 5 seconds remaining to cut the Bulldogs' deficit to two goals.
Alexander Grove doubled LTU's lead to 4-2 to end the second period scoring and
Zachary Rais scored his second goal of the game to wrap up the third.
For the game, LTU had 43 shots and held Adrian to 17. The Blue Devils went 2-for-7 on the power-play and killed off all seven Adrian extra-man opportunities.
Thomas Walsh finished with three assists for the Blue Devils, who got three points from De Haas including his team-leading fifth goal.
Owen Przybylo made 15 of 17 saves for the win, while Rex Goldberg made 38 stops in the loss.
Travis Symons tallied Adrian's other goal.
Lawrence Tech continues the MCHC circuit this Friday (5 p.m.) and Saturday (3 p.m.) against Northwood. The teams will first meet on LTU home ice at the Farmington Hills Arena before shifting the series to the Timberwolves' Midland Civic Center.
