SOUTHFIELD--After taking its second bye week of the season, Lawrence Tech is back on the road this Saturday (Noon) when the Blue Devils venture to Adrian, Mich., for a Mid-States Football Association Mideast League matchup versus Siena Heights at O'Laughlin Stadium.

At the Helm: Detroit native
Avante Mitchell is 11-19 in his fourth season as the Blue Devils head coach. He first came to LTU in 2019 as the team's defensive coordinator. He also has collegiate coaching experience at Concordia-Ann Arbor, Taylor and NCAA Division II Northwood.
Last Time Out: In Fort Wayne, Ind., two weeks ago, LTU saw host Saint Francis (Indiana) jump out to a 28-0 halftime lead and could never recover in a 56-7 loss to the Cougars in a MSFA Mideast League game.
CJ Davidson led the Blue Devils with 42 yards on seven carries in the first half before leaving the game due to injury.
Jaden Rembert had five receptions for 56 yards while
Jalen Wallace grabbed six balls for 50 yards.
Andrew Perkins III led all defenders with seven total tackles (3 solo) to go along with an interception and one pass broken up.
All-Time Series: Lawrence Tech is seeking its first win against Siena Heights in this, the fifth all-time meeting between the programs...one of the four losses was because of a forfeit due to COVID rules during the 2021 campaign...the Blue Devils are 0-2 at SHU, including last year's meeting, 34-14...in Adrian in 2022, LTU led 14-10 in the second quarter before the Saints scored 24 unanswered points to get the 20-point victory...Wallace had a big day receiving with eight catches for 97 yards and a TD...
Tyler Kulka was 17-for-28 passing with 247 yards...Siena Heights held a slim advantage in total offense, 334-302.
CJ Davidson Tops 1,000 Career Rushing Yards: The redshirt senior out of Pontiac (Walled Lake Central High School) became the Blue Devils all-time rushing king in the season opener, surpassing previous recordholder Tanner Foley's 642 yards from 2018-19. Davidson, who is a 2022 All-MSFA Mideast Second Team pick, currently has 1080 yards to extend his benchmark.
One for the Record Books: Alex Osman and
Tyler Garrett teamed up for a school record at Saint Francis (Indiana) on Oct. 14, when the former threw a 99-yard touchdown pass to the latter. It also ties the NAIA record for the longest pass play, which previously occurred seven years ago [Logan Brettell, Baker (Kan.) vs. Culver-Stockton (Mo.) on 9/3/2016].

Jaden Rembert, a junior, ranks third on the program's all-time list with 1,488 receiving yards (No. 1:
Kendyl Williams, 2,015; 2018-22) and third with 102 catches (No. 1:
CJ Thompson, 155, 2018-19 and '21-22).
Company on the Receiving Corp: The Blue Devils have another top receiver in
Jalen Wallace, who tops the team in receptions (29), yards (378), average/catch (13.03 yards; minimum 10) and average per game (54.0 yards). In his 23-game career, the junior has 88 receptions, 1051 yards and five TDs, becoming the fourth LTU receiver to eclipse 1,000 yards.

Carter Dixon earned his first
MSFA Special Teams Player of the Week award on Sept. 25. He booted the longest punt--70 yards and one shy of the school record--in the MSFA this season on Sept. 16 versus St. Francis (Illinois).

Did You Know?: The Blue Devils are 0-3 versus the Top-25 this season...Siena Heights defeated then-No. 12 Concordia (Michigan, 24-21, in its last outing, while LTU lost a heartbreaker at home to the No. 13 Cardinals on 24-10 on Oct. 7...in the MSFA, Wallace and Rembert are sixth and 11th with 29 and 25 catches, respectively...Davidson is seventh in the Association with 462 yards rushing...Perkins is 10th in total tackles...the Saints have one of the best rushing attacks in the MSFA based on these league statistical rankings: fourth in yards per game (169.0 rypg) and fourth in first downs (65)...their running back Ethan LoPresto has rushed for 718 yards, which ranks third in the Association...the SHU's Eric Williams II has 23 receptions for 464 yards, or 20.2 yards per catch for second in the MSFA...SHU also is second in fourth-down conversions at 53 percent (10-for-19)...in addition to Concordia, the teams have common opponents in Saint Francis (Indiana) and Indiana Wesleyan, with both LTU and SHU losing on the road to those teams.
