CANTON, Mich.--For the second-straight day, the nationally No. 5-ranked Lawrence Tech men's bowling team captured the American Heartland Bowling Association 2 event on Sunday at Super Bowl Lanes. The Blue Devils toppled 7,710 pins today after recording a 7926 to take the AHBA 1 title on Saturday.
Senior
Noah Samuels, who claimed the AHBA 1 individual crown 24 hours ago, placed 11th out of 109 individuals with an 885 this time around. Also placing in the top-20 for LTU were sophomore
Callum Meredith (18th, 864) and senior
Michael Weber (19th, 857).
The Blue Devils also earned the Rochester Warriors Classic on Sept. 30, which vaulted them to No. 1 in the national rankings for a couple weeks, for three championships so far in 2023-24.
Nathan Minzler of Wright State was the AHBA 2 medalist with a 968.
Lawrence Tech hits the lanes again on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 3-4, at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference #1 at Western Bowl in Comstock Park.
