FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.--Freshman defenseman Trevor Losier scored with 65 seconds remaining in overtime to lift host Lawrence Tech to a 3-2 non-conference victory Friday over Purdue in a top-25 showdown of American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 3 men's programs at Farmington Hills Ice Arena. The eighth-ranked Blue Devils are now 10-3-1 on the season after extending their winning streak to seven games, while the No. 14 Boilermakers drop to 10-3 overall.

Lawrence Tech Highlights
  • Sophomore Luke Radu and Losier led the Blue Devils with a goal and an assist each.

How it Happened
  • During the 3-on-3 extra five-minute session, LTU had to kill off a PU power-play and Przybylo made a glove save on Smith's penalty-shot with 1 minute and 23 seconds left.
  • After the penalty shot save, freshman Will Jentz and Radu worked the puck from behind the BU goal as Jentz eventually circled to the front of the net to set up Losier for a one-timer from near the left face-off circle.
  • Radu gave LTU a 1-0 lead on an assist from freshman Jeff Rand with 16:52 left in the first period.
  • Smith tied it 1-1 with the first of his two goals 13:32 later on the power-play with 3:30 remaining.
  • Senior Connor Juhasz made it 2-1 at the 10:54 mark of the second period, with junior Nick Schoen and Losier getting assists on the play.
  • With the goalie pulled in favor of an extra-attacker, Purdue and Smith again knotted the score with just 15 seconds left to force the OT session.
  • LTU kept the offensive pressure on PU all night long, outshooting the Boilers 43 to 29.
Beyond the Boxscore
  • Purdue competes in the Indiana Collegiate Hockey Conference.
  • The Boilermakers came into the contest with 90 goals for and a plus-57 goal differential.
  • Juhasz leads LTU with nine goals on the season.
  • Przybylo improves to 4-0-1 between the pipes.
