Fifth-Ranked Men's Bowling Rallies for Third Place at WHAC Open Jamboree#3

The nationally-ranked Blue Devils hauled in 7,334 total pins

JACKSON, Mich.--In the third Wolverine–Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree, the nationally-No. 5 ranked Lawrence Tech men's bowling squad came in third place at the 18-team WHAC Open at the Jax 60 Bowling & Fun Center on Saturday. The Blue Devils knocked down 7,334 total pins.

Junior Costa Gastouniotis led the Blue Devils with a 861 for 15th place out of 222 bowlers and senior Noah Samuels also had a top-25 varsity finish at No. 25 (837 pins). The duo helped LTU rise from seventh for much of the day to a top-3 showing.

Juniors Nick Clauson (901, 4th) and Micah Grune (842, 22nd) carried the junior varsity banner for the Blue Devils.

Indiana Tech won the team title with 7534 total pins, and the Warriors' Brandon Haney was the match medalist with a 914.

Lawrence Tech hits the lanes again on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 18-19, at the Tier 1 event the Roto Grip Keystone Quaker at Jordan Lanes & Haja Rose Bowl in Allentown, Pa.
