FORT WAYNE, IND. - The Lawrence Technological University Blue Devils women's volleyball team opened their season on the road at the Onset Volleyball Invitational Tournament. 

They were defeated by Grace College (Ind.) 25-16, 25-20, 16-25, 25-19 in game one. 

Lindsay Hubler led the team with 14 kills.

Riley O'Connell and Hubler each led the team with 14.0 points.

Abby Zambeck led the way with 37 assists. 

Defensively, Juliana Bollini led the team with 20 digs.

In game two, the Blue Devils lost to Bethel (Ind.) in straight sets: 25-21, 25-22, 25-19. 

Maria Trevino Nunez led the team in kills (18). Zambeck once again led in assists with 19. 

The Blue Devils continue their quest for their first victory tomorrow, August 19, 2023 facing Indiana-South Bend and Indiana-Northwest. Their first game is at 1:15 pm followed by a 5:30 nightcap.
