Palos Heights, IL - The Lawrence Technological University women's soccer team fell just short on the road at Trinity Christian College.
The keeper for the Blue Devils, sophomore Gabi Nelson had several saves off of 5 shots.
The Blue Devils gave up a penalty kick to the Trolls, who didn't waste any time to put that ball away early in the first half to make the game 1-0. Just twelve minutes later the Blue Devils struck back to bring the game back to a tie. Fifth year DiOnna Hill ripped a shot right past Trinity Christians keeper. The game was quiet for over 60 minutes of play, until the Trolls turned up the heat to break the tie at the 81:29 mark of the game. The Blue Devils had little time to try and tie the game back up, which would end in defeat, 2-1.
The Blue Devils will have a week off to recuperate until they head out for a weekend trip on Friday, October 8th to Batavia, Ohio to face the University of Cincinnati-Clermont at 5:30pm and out to Georgetown, Kentucky the next day to face Georgetown University at 1:00pm.
