Southfield, Mich. - The Lawrence Tech men's soccer team had their home opener Wednesday night against Taylor University. The Blue Devils played a great defensive game as they shutout the Trojans 3-0 tonight.

Kieran Malachino, recorded another shutout in his career. Taylor attempting to break Malachino's shutout all game, taking six shots on net, Malachino not letting anything through him.
The Blue Devils didn't waste anytime putting the ball in the back of the net as senior
Skander Larfaoui got a breakaway at the 1:43 minute mark which he put away. After about thirty two minutes of back and forth play of LTU and the Trojans attempting to put one in the back of the net, sophomore
Danann Silvestre netted one in to make the score 2-0. The Blue Devils ended the first forty five and headed into the second half with a 2-0 lead.
At the start of the second half, the scoring was quiet, but the teams kept battling. Play was back and forth getting shots off both sides of the field. At the 78:47 minute mark, senior

Tiago Troyano who headed the ball right into the back of the net to give the Blue Devils a 3-0 lead. Which brought the final score to 3-0 to finish off Lawrence Tech's home opener.
The Blue Devils will stay home this weekend as they host Huntington University at 7:00 PM on Saturday September, 16th.
