SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO --- The Lawrence Technological University Blue Devils battled against reigning ACHA D2 National Champion Sault College in conference play. This is the first match-up between the teams in school history. The Blue Devils ranked just behind Sault in the latest ACHA polls. Sault would go on to win 9-0, as LTU just could not get anything going in the offensive zone.
Despite allowing 9 goals, the Blue Devils did not allow the first one until the waning seconds of the first period, stopping 16 of 17 shots.
In the second period
Rachel Hart faced 29 shots, stopping 26 of them.
The third period Sault score 5 goals on 20 shots.
Hart ended up with 57 saves on 66 shots.
The Blue Devils (12-5-0) return to action tomorrow against Sault College again, on the road.
