Top-Ranked Men's Bowling Begins 2024 as Kegal Midwest Collegiate Classic Runner-Up

The Blue Devils rolled 9,270 pins at the Tier 1 event

ADDISON, Ill.--The No. 1-ranked men's team by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), Lawrence Tech continued its 2023-24 season this weekend with a runner-up showing at the Tier 1 Kegal Midwest Collegiate Classic held at Stardust Bowl. The Blue Devils knocked down 9,270 pins to finish second only behind Mount Mercy (9460) in the 38-team field.

Senior Noah Samuels led the LTU charge with a ninth-place finish out of 263 individual entries, bowling a 216 average over five games. He had a 278 opening game as part of a total 1080, which was the second-best single-game score of any top-10 finisher.

Rounding out the Blue Devils top-5 were senior Jarin Kurashige (12th, 214.4, 1072), sophomore Cayleb Carey (13th, 213.4, 1067), junior Connor Nowak (103rd, 201.3, 805) and freshman Ayden Davis (154th, 199.7, 599).

Next up, LTU will compete in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Jamboree #4 on Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Thunderbowl Lanes in Allen Park, Mich.
